In order to transport your child comfortable and safe in your bicycle, you need to be aware of some maintenance considerations to follow.

In order to ride a bicycle and transport your child with safety and comfort in our child bike seats, you need to be aware of the precautions you need to follow – from ensuring its maintenance to the correct way to store the bicycle and the child seat, and of course without forgetting to ride a bicycle safely.

With that in mind, we put together the main tips to keep your bicycle seat in shape and with a renewed appearance, so that it stays in your family’s life as long as possible. At Polisport we believe that using a child bike seat is a fun, healthy, and sustainable way to introduce the world to the little ones.

Rule #1

Check all components of your child bike seat regularly, if possible before each ride. This inspection must ensure that the components are in perfect condition. If for any reason, any of the components are damaged, you should not use the child bike seat. Damaged components must always be replaced. In order to replace them, you need to go, you must go to the store where you bought the bicycle seat, or contact one of our distributors near you. You can check their contacts here.

Rule #2

If you have suffered an accident with your bicycle and your seat included, we advise you to get a new one. Even if there is no visible damage to the seat. This way, you won’t compromise your safety and the safety of your child on the next rides.

Rule #3

Keep your child bicycle seat always clean. To clean it, you should wash it with soap and water and allow it to dry at room temperature. The same cleaning must cover all components of the seat, such as cushion, seat belts, and footrests. Our cushion made of fabric can be easily removed and cleaned on the washing machine at a temperature of 30º. We do not recommend the use of abrasive, corrosive, and toxic products, otherwise, it will damage and compromise the safety of the entire baby seat.
